Aristotle(384 BCE - 322 BCE), the Greek philosopher, student of Plato, and teacher of Alexander the Great, was born in northern Greece to Nicomachus, a physician to the king of Mecadonia. At the age of seventeen, he became a student at Plato's Academy and soon became a teacher himself, remaining there for nearly twenty years until Plato's death in 347 BC. He is considered one of the pioneers of Western philosophy, and his system of philosophy encompassed politics, metaphysics, ethics, aesthetics, logic, and science.
