William Aikman (1824 - 1909) was an American author and pastor. He was a Presbyterian minister and a Pastor at the Hanover Street Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware. He also lived in New York City and Detroit. Aikman was a great campaigner for the rights of blacks in America, which he discusses in his book, The Future of the Coloured Race in America (1862). It reviews the system of slavery in the United States and the course of first year of the Civil War.
