The Paris Sketch Book (1840) is a travelogue by William Makepeace Thackeray, published under the pseudonym of Michael Angelo Titmarsh. Thackeray includes in his book various essays and stories, such as An Invasion of France, The Story of Mary Ancel, and French Dramas and Melodramas. In some of these papers he records his observations during his residence in Paris, and in others he discusses the public events that occurred during the same period. He discusses Parisian Art and Literature scenes at length.
