About the Book
Biotechnology is the application of technology to the living world; the manipulation of living things to create products, processes, and services. Biotechnology is most often used to improve agriculture and human health, but it is also being used in other areas. Careers in Biotechnology explores some of these many careers and discusses the education and training needed to achieve them. It also takes a close look at some of the ethical and scientific controversies raging in the field, and explores what the future of biotechnology might hold and the new careers paths that may open up.
