About the Book
The long-standing Number Crunch newspaper column is a weekly bite of diverse but always fascinating stats and facts. This compendium is the second in a series (volume 1 was entitled 'Eighteen Months on the Toilet') of books that bring together the very best of the facts, feats and stats discovered by author John Croucher over many years of compiling the column. This completely new edition includes a fresh new suite of cartoons by Roger Harvey.'637 Gorillas', by the way, refers to largest number of costumed gorillas ever brought together - for a 2005 London fun run.
About the Author
Dr John Croucher is Professor of Statistics at Macquarie University's Macquarie Graduate School of Management, and one of Australia's most prominent statisticians. He is perhaps best known by the general public for his weekly 'Number Crunch' column in the Age and Sydney Morning Herald. He is a member of the Australian Mathematical Society.
