Millingen, Dalia

Dalia was born in Brussels in 1922. She started writing as a young child and her favourite pastime was reading good literature. She became a kindergarten teacher in 1940, then graduated as a ‘social welfare nurse’, married in 1946 and immigrated to Australia with her husband and son in 1950. She worked in Melbourne as a kindergarten teacher and later ran a nursing home in Wattle Glen (an outer suburb). Dalia changed careers in 1982, becoming a psychotherapist. She has three children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She now lives in Elwood with her second husband.;
