Fitzgerald, F. Scott

Frances Scott Key Fitzgerald (1896 - 1940) was an American author, born in a well - off Catholic family at St. Paul Minnesota. He is remembered for his short stories and novels of 1920s, and is best - known for his two novels, The Great Gatsby (1925) and Tender Is the Night (1934). He contributed to the Scribner's Magazine and the Saturday Evening Post and wrote several novels and short stories, including The Beautiful and Damned (1922). He died of a heart attack at the age of 44.

Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was a Jazz Age novelist. The self-styled spokesman of the “Lost Generation”, he is regarded as one of the greatest American writers of the 20th Century. His famous works are “The Princeton Tiger”, “The Vegetable” and “The Crack-Up”
