Kafka, Franz


    Franz Kafka (1883 - 1924) was a Czech - born German author of visionary fiction. Born in Prague, Bohemia into a German - speaking Jewish family, Kafka was one of the most important Jewish writers of the 20th century. Most of his works were published posthumously: they express the anxiety and alienation of modern man.
