Biography
Firdausi (c. 934 - 1020) also known as Abu Ol - Qasem Mansur, was a Persian poet born in a yeoman Tus, Iran. He is best - known for his masterwork, Shah - Nama (Book of Kings) (c. 1007), which was popular in Iran and the rest of the world. He also wrote Jusuf and Zulaikha, a book of romantic verse based on the love story of Potiphar's wife Zulaikha with Prophet Joseph from the Koran. ;
