    Biography

    Bertha Muzzy Sinclair (1871 - 1940), best known by her pseudonym B. M. Bower, was born in Minnesota.  She later moved with her family to Montana, where she was a school teacher.  One of the first women to make a living writing westerns, Bower wrote 57 romance and adventure novels set in the American west.  Several of which were made into films. ;
