    Biography

    Gary Karp - Gary Karp is an internationally recognized public speaker, corporate trainer, author, and editor, and was just inducted into the Spinal Cord Injury Hall of Fame as a Disability Educator. His work with university students in physical and occupational therapy is sponsored by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center. He has been living C O fully C O with a T12 spinal cord injury since 1973 when he was injured in a fall from a tree at the age of eighteen. Gary is the author of three books and his investigative articles and profiles have appeared regularly in New Mobility magazine. He is the former Executive Editor of SCI Life, the quarterly newspaper of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association, for whom he was also program chair of the 2006 Summit on Spinal Cord Injury. He is also an accomplished musician and juggler, and lives in Northern California with his wife Paula and their yellow Labrador retriever, Nava Leah.;
