Malet, Lucas

Pen name of British novelist and children's writer, Mary St Leger Kingsley Harrison. Her most celebrated novels appeared in the 1890s, and made her one of the most popular female authors of that time.
Her most famous work is The History of Sir Richard Calmady (1901). Her other writings include A Counsel of Perfection (1888), The Wages of Sin (1890), The Gateless Barrier(1900) and Adrian Savage (1911).
