Abram Hoffer, M.D., Ph.D., F.R.C.P.(C), is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the medical use of vitamin therapy. His early work led to the use of vitamin B3 for schizophrenia and as an anticholesterol treatment. His research and clinical experience has focused on the treatment of schizophrenia and, later, of cancer. He has published over 600 reports and articles as well as thirty books. Dr. Hoffer introduced Bill W., cofounder of Alcoholics Anonymous, to the concept of megavitamin therapy. He lives and works in Victoria, Canada. ;
