Biography
Andy Adams (1859 - 1935), an American novelist and a cowboy, was bornin Indiana. As a boy, he assisted his father with the cattle and horses on the family farm. When Adams reached fifteen, after being in school for six years, he went to Texas and droved cattle on the western. He then turned to gold - mining in Colorado and Nevada. Adams is best remembered for his work, The Log of a Cowboy (1903), an account of his cattle driving experiences.
