Carlo Lorenzini, also known as Carlo Collodi (1826 - 1890), was an Italian writer bornin Florence. He is best known forIn vapore (1856) and Le avventure di Pinocchio (1883). Collodivolunteered in the armyand contributedsatirical sketches, stories, and articles to various newspapers. His works include Macchiette (1880), Occhi e nasi (1881), and Storie allegre (1887).
Carlo Collodi was an Italian writer and journalist whose character “Pinnochio” earned more fame than its creator. He had an active interest in politics and he also fought in Wars of Independence on voluntary basis.
