Biography
George Alfred Henty (1832 - 1902),English author and war correspondent, was born at Trumpington, near Cambridge. He was educated at Westminster School, London and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Henty is famous for his boys adventure stories, in which he focused on manly virtue and courage. His first work of juvenile fiction was Out on the Pampas (1868). Henty also wrote novels for adults, non - fiction, and short stories. His works include The Young Buglers (1880) and With Clive in India (1884). ;
