    Biography

    Heath O'Loughlin began his journalism cadetship at the Seven network in Melbourne in 2001 and worked as a general news and specialist police reporter. In his time there, he covered some of Melbourne's most infamous crimes including the underworld killings and other high-profile cases. He crossed to the Nine network in 2006 to report on sport and co-anchor the weekend bulletin. After eight years in television news, he became General Manager of Media, Communications and Marketing at the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL), where he has been since 2008. Under his lead, the club's media department has become an industry trailblazer, winning several nationwide awards for excellence and innovation. In 2016, Heath collaborated with North Melbourne Football Club legend Brent Harvey on his acclaimed autobiography, Boomer (Macmillan). Sons of God is Heath's first book.;
