Biography
Julian Hawthorne (1846 - 1934) was an American author and journalist. He was born in Boston and wrote a biography of his father, Nathaniel Hawthorne and His Wife (1884). Hawthorne studied civil engineering in America and Germany. He also wrote poetry, novels, short stories, detective fiction, essays, travel books, and histories, and also worked as a journalist. His works include Bressant (1873), Idolatry (1874), and Garth (1874). ;
