Wairy, Louise Constant
Biography
Louis Constant Wairy (1778 - 1845), writer of biographies of French Kings, was born in Peruelz, Belgium. He is best - known for his memoirs of Napoleon I, Recollections of the Private Life of Napoleon (1830). Wairy first served Eugene and Josephine Beauharnais, and was appointed in 1800 premier valet de chamber to Napoleon I, whom he served until his final banishment to St. Helena in 1815.
