Lucia Nardo was born in Williamstown and educated at Williamstown High, the University of Melbourne and RMIT University, where she gained a Master of Business. Initially trained in social work, she moved to the corporate world where she made her mark in management. In addition to her corporate success, Lucia became a regular conference speaker and writer in the business field. Her active life and career, built on the spoken word, was cut short when she literally ran out of breath. Unexpectedly struck down with heart disease, Lucia underwent open-heart surgery and on recovery merged her professional expertise with her personal story to bring a message of hope and inspiration to people and families facing similar traumatic life threatening surgical events. Heart to Heart is the sometimes poignant and always humorous recounting of a journey of despair, hope and a renewed life.
