    Biography

Patrick Holford began his academic career in experimental psychology. While at York University he became interested in the biochemistry of mental illness. Both claimed that nutritional therapy gave outstanding results in treating mental health problems. He became their student and later, that of twice Nobel prize winner Dr Linus Pauling. In 1984 Patrick Holford founded the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION).
