    Biography

    Robert Barr (1850 - 1912) was a novelist, editor, and journalist born in Scotland. Under the pseudonym of Luke Sharp, he published the stories that he had earlier used to entertain his younger siblings. Barr's articles were published in magazines such as Grip and The Detroit Free Press. Later, he founded The Idler magazine, on which he collaborated with Jerome K. Jerome. In a Steamer Chair and Other Stories and The Triumph of Eugene Valmont are two of his best - known works. ;
