Morris, William


    English craftsman, poet, and translator William Morris (1834 - 1896) was a member of the pre - Raphaelite Brotherhood. He was also one of the founders of Socialism in Britain and persistently advocated for a socialist view. Morris was also a major member of the Arts and Crafts Movement. He is also famous for his designs on wall - paper and his patterned fabrics.
