Dr. Gene Spiller has an M.S. and a Ph.D. in nutrition from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a certified nutrition specialist (C.N.S.) and a fellow of the American College of Nutrition. He is director of the Sphera Foundation and the Health Research and Studies Center. Monica Spiller taught high-school chemistry in England before coming to the San Francisco Bay area as an analytical chemist in pharmaceuticals. She founded the nonprofit organization Whole Grain Connection to promote the production of wholegrain bread.
