Ludwig, Jacob Ludwig and Wilhelm Karl Grimm

Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm (1786 - 1859) and Wilhelm Karl Grimm (1786 - 1859) were German academics of the 19th century, born in Hanau. They are best known for their collections of folklore and fairy tales and are among the famous story tellers of Europe. Their collections include Household Tales (1812 - 1815), Deutsches Wörterbuch (1854), and Deutsche Mythologie (1835). ;

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm are renowned for their work in juvenile literature. They wrote wonderful fairy tales for children which have retained their fame through the ages. They are also famous for devising Grimm’s Law and for the systematic study of language. ;
