    Biography

    Sir James Matthew Barrie (1860 - 1937) was a Scottish novelist and dramatist. He was born in Kirriemuir, Angus to aconservative Scottish Calvinist family. Barrie first worked as a journalist but is best known for his famous play, Peter Pan or, The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up, first performed in 1904 and published in 1928. He was knighted in 1913 and he received the Order of Merit in 1922. ;
