John Quincy Adams (1767 - 1848) was an American diplomat, a senator, and the 6th President of the United States during 1825 - 1829. He was the son of the second President of the United States, John Adams. Adams attended the University of Leyden and Harvard University. He was one of America's great Secretaries of State.
