Grossmith, George

George Grossmith (1847 - 1912) and Weedon Grossmith (1852 - 1919) were English humorists, writers, and performers born in London. They are famous for developing a series of humorous columns for Punch magazine in 1888 - 89, which later appeared as Diary of a Nobody (1892). This novel analyses of the social insecurity of the time. ;

English author, journalist and entertainer, George Grossmith is chiefly famous for his amusing work, The Diary of a Nobody. He wrote it in collaboration with his brother Weedon. He wrote more than 600 humorous songs and sketches in his lifetime.;
