Locke, William John
Biography
William John Locke (1863 - 1930) was a British novelist and playwright. He was born in the British colony Demerara, now called Guyana, and was educated in Trinidad and at Cambridge. Locke became a teacher in1890 and secretary of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1897; he also remained a corresponding member of many European architectural societies, ButLockeis best known as a novelist. His most famous works are The Morals of Marcus Ordeyne (1905) and The Beloved Vagabond (1906). ;
